What's Behind This 5-Star Testimonial?
"I used HP Homecare again after a hip replacement operation, having experienced their excellent service last year. Each carer was thoroughly professional yet felt more like a friend—helping with exercises, shopping, light housework, and meal prep. They made life easy for me, speeding up my recovery. I highly recommend them and would certainly use them again."

Case Study: Mr H's Journey with Private Care at Home in London
Initial Contact Following Hip Replacement
Mr H first reached out to our service two years ago, shortly after undergoing a hip replacement at Charing Cross NHS Trust. He was already home in his West London flat and requested a few weeks of support to aid his recovery. Although his flat was well adapted for reduced mobility, Mr H lived alone. He had a helpful neighbour who checked in on him and a close friend in Scotland who planned to visit, yet he still required round-the-clock care for a safe and comfortable rehabilitation.
We arranged continuous 24-hour care, and Mr H began to improve. Unfortunately, he experienced complications related to his surgery and had to be readmitted to hospital. When he came home again, our care package resumed, and over the next few weeks, he steadily recovered. During this period, Mr H developed a great rapport with both our carers and nurses, praising their professionalism and warmth. He was especially appreciative of how each member of the team took the time to get to know him personally, which he said made a "huge difference" to his overall experience.
Planning Ahead for a Second Surgery
A year later, Mr H required surgery on his other hip, this time at St John & St Elizabeth Hospital in St John's Wood. Determined to avoid the setbacks of his previous experience, he contacted us in advance. While still an inpatient, he specifically asked Michele—his main point of contact from before—to visit him in hospital and discuss his discharge plan in person. He wanted to ensure every detail was well-coordinated, given his past difficulties.
Mr H also arranged a five-day stay at a respite facility in Berkshire to receive physiotherapy before returning home. A couple of days before he left the respite centre, he confirmed his discharge date with us so that a second 24-hour care package could be put in place immediately.
