Mary-Jane Valonda, Registered Nurse

My name is Mary Jane Valonda, I am a highly experienced registered nurse originally from the Philippines.

I have worked in the health and care industry here in the UK since May 2003. I have gained significant experience with patients who have various medical conditions such as; dementia, diabetes, stroke, Parkinson’s, neurological disorders/brain injuries, Huntington’s disease, MS, Epilepsy and more.

Over the course of my nursing career I soon realised that most patients if they have a choice would like to be cared for in their own homes and this encouraged me to join HP Homecare.

I am passionate about delivering person-centered care - keeping in mind that each individual has their own specific needs, choices and preferences. In my role with HP Homecare I can continue to support my patients to continue to live their preferred way of life in the place they love and feel most comfortable - their own homes with the practical help that they need being brought to them.

My experience extends to a supporting and mentoring role assisting nursing students / nursing associates students, something I take great pleasure in.
